DMCA & Copyright Policy: Playing Fair at Vampire Survivors

At Vampire Survivors, we are obsessed with great games and the incredible creators who build them! Just like we play by the rules to get the highest scores, we believe in playing fair when it comes to intellectual property.

We respect the hard work of artists, developers, and designers. We expect our community members to do the same. In line with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we’ve put together this simple guide on how we handle copyright claims.

How to File a Copyright Notice (The DMCA Notice)

Are you a copyright owner or an authorized agent who believes something on our site is stepping on your toes? If you think content on vampire-survivors.net infringes on your work, you can send us a formal notification.

To make sure we can act fast, please provide our Copyright Agent with the following details in writing (as required by 17 U.S.C § 512(c)(3)):

  • Your Signature: A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act for the owner.
  • The Work in Question: A clear description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
  • The Location: Tell us exactly where the material is! Please provide the specific URL(s) on our site so we can find it instantly.
  • Contact Info: Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • Good Faith Statement: A note saying you truly believe the use of the material isn’t authorized by the owner or the law.
  • Accuracy Statement: A statement (under penalty of perjury) that your info is 100% accurate and you’re authorized to act.

Once we get a valid notice, our team will move quickly to remove or disable the content. We’re all about keeping the playground clean!

The “Oops!” Factor: Counter-Notification Procedure

Mistakes happen! If you believe your content was taken down by mistake or because of a mix-up, you can file a Counter-Notification. To be effective, your message must include:

  1. Your Signature: Physical or electronic.
  2. The Content Info: Identification of the material that was removed and where it used to live on our site.
  3. The “Good Faith” Statement: A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was a result of a mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your Details: Your name, address, phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for your area.

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may share it with the person who filed the original claim. If the dispute isn’t taken to court within 10–14 business days, we may restore the content at our discretion.

Our Policy on Repeat Infringers

We want Vampire Survivors to be a place of creativity and fun. Because we take copyright seriously, it is “Game Over” for repeat offenders. We reserve the right to terminate the accounts or access of any users who are determined to be repeat infringers.
